Raw press release from HCSO:

On 12-11-2012, approximately 6:00 am the Sheriff’s Office received a call that a citizen was in foot pursuit of a burglary suspect on Ashdown Avenue, McKinleyville. When deputies arrived they met with a citizen who resides in the 600 block of Montana Road, McKinleyville. The citizen told the deputies he was in his garage when he heard his car alarm sound. The citizen immediately exited his garage and saw the passenger side of his vehicle which was parked in his driveway had been smashed and there was a male standing near his car with a pit bull mix dog.

The man immediately started telling the victim he was “Sorry” as he was backing away from the citizen and his vehicle. The citizen tried to grab the male suspect to detain him for law enforcement. After a brief struggle the suspect pulled away and rode away on a bicycle with the victim chasing after him. The suspect began yelling at his dog to “Attack” the citizen, so the citizen discontinued his pursuit. The citizen told the responding deputies the damage to his vehicle was approximately $450.00 and there was five dollars in cash missing from the center console. Deputies checked the area for the suspect and could not find him.

On 12-12-2012, approximately 11:00 p.m. the citizen called the Sheriff’s Office and told the investigating deputy he saw the suspect again with the dog. The citizen followed the suspect to a residence in the 1300 Block of Anderson Road, McKinleyville. Deputies responded to the home on Anderson and located Rob O’Neil Harvey, 28 years old from McKinleyville. The citizen identified Harvey as the one he saw and chased. Harvey was arrested for burglary and violation of probation. Harvey was on probation for possession of burglary tools. He was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where his bail was set at $50,000.00.

Anyone with information for the Sheriffs Office regarding this case or related criminal activity is encouraged to call the Sheriffs Office at 707-445-7251 or the Sheriffs Office Crime Tip line at 707-268-2539.

  1. One can’t help but feel sympathy for this fellow. To look into his eyes is to be consumed with the spirit of forgiveness as befits this most generous of seasons. It would behoove us all to behave with more kindness towards our fellow man, be they criminal or not.

    • Mayor of Mcktown

Yeah. Hey henchman…. wish you would have been fighting this guy out in the rain when he sicked his dog on you. I was there. I will forgive him after he stops doing meth and stealing from folks in our neighborhood! He was already on probation when I caught his dumba$$. How many times do we have to forgive him?

  2. Grandma

Stick large needle into his eyeball and move it around, should produce an excruciating pain. FckMeth!

  3. "Henchman Of Justice"

    With ya Grandma,

Tweekers are better off blind! Then again, so are rogue deputy sheriff’s.

Anyhow, as to the imposter above in lower case without quotation marks defaming by “bait and switch tactics”, “Henchman Of Justice” casts negative karma on your social treasonistic personhood!

Now, go get a tube of Preparation H, and brush your teeth, before you drive your defamatory-self off the road dead. No coroner should have to smell postmortem bad breathe from societal deceivers, manipulators and all-in-all, insincere AND dishonorable types! – HOJ
