A lot of newspapers charge to run obituaries. That’s understandable. Obituaries take up a lot of space and cost money to print.
But if you live in a community and then it comes time for you to pass through the pearly gates, shouldn’t your obituary appear in the local newspaper regardless of whether your family pays for it or not? We think so.
That’s why we print obituaries for free. Rather than charging a fee, we accept donations of any amount to offset our printing costs. You can donate nothing, $5, $20, $100, or whatever. To make it easier to contribute, we now accept donations via PayPal.
Readers can also use this as a “tip jar” of sorts. If you see something you really like in the paper, throw a couple bucks our way!
