If you are in Trinidad on Tuesday, July 19 at 10 a.m., and you hear the wail of a tsunami siren, don’t run for the hills. It is only a test.
The siren, which was installed earlier this year, will be tested for the first time next Tuesday. The sound will last one minute.
If it were a real tsunami warning, you would hear “a wailing tone lasting for three minutes at each sounding,” said Dan Larkin of the county’s Office of Emergency Services.
