Report from paradise: It’s sunny and beautiful outside

All you really need to know is that there will be sun. Later, look for wind.

Raw from the NWS:

.SYNOPSIS…
HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD OVER THE REGION TODAY
BRINGING DRY WEATHER THROUGH THE WEEK. MOSTLY CLEAR TO PARTLY
CLOUDY SKIES CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH LATE WEEK EXCEPT ALONG THE
IMMEDIATE COAST WHERE STRATUS AND FOG WILL DEVELOP AT TIMES.

&&

.DISCUSSION…
A STUBBORN LOW LEVEL STRATUS DECK CONTINUES TO HOLD ON THIS
MORNING ACROSS COASTAL AREAS INTO INTERIOR HUMBOLDT AND MENDOCINO
COUNTIES. ANY FOG AND STRATUS IN INTERIOR AREAS SHOULD BE QUICK TO
DISSIPATE AFTER SUNRISE TODAY AS INSOLATION INCREASES ATMOSPHERIC
MIXING…HOWEVER WITH ONSHORE FLOW ACROSS COASTAL HUMBOLDT AND DEL
NORTE COUNTIES STRATUS MAY BE MORE DIFFICULT TO DISSIPATE.
ADDITIONALLY WINDS WILL BE GUSTY TODAY IN COASTAL ZONES AS THE
PRESSURE GRADIENT INTENSIFIES OFFSHORE WITH HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING
INTO THE REGION. GUSTY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE INTO TONIGHT.

WITH BUILDING HIGH PRESSURE AND INCREASING THICKNESS VALUES HIGH
TEMPS…PARTICULARLY IN INTERIOR VALLEYS WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY
HIGHER THAN THE PREVIOUS FEW DAYS. HIGHS WELL INTO THE 80S WILL
BE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY IN THE INTERIOR AS 850 MB TEMPS INCREASE TO AROUND
15-17C. IT WOULD NOT BE A SURPRISE TO SEE TEMPS TOP OUT AROUND 90F
WEDNESDAY IN INTERIOR MENDOCINO COUNTY. A WEAK COLD FRONT AND UPPER
LEVEL SHORTWAVE WILL TRAVERSE THE CWA THURSDAY BRINGING WITH IT
INCREASING CLOUD COVER AND SLIGHTLY COOLER TEMPS. HOWEVER MODELS
ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT THAT THE FRONT SHOULD BE ON A WEAKENING
TREND AS IT APPROACHES THE AREA RESULTING IN A DRY FORECAST. THE
NEXT BEST CHANCE OF RAIN WILL BE THIS WEEKEND WHEN A MORE
SUBSTANTIAL SYSTEM APPROACHES THE AREA. RPA
